New Development in Aylesbury Achieves Built for Life Outstanding Award
Oakfield Village at Kingsbrook, the David Wilson Homes development in Aylesbury has been given a coveted quality mark for design quality, safety and community awarded to only a handful of other sites in the country.
The development on Broughton Lane in Aylesbury features a prestigious collection of houses and achieved the Built for Life Outstanding Award, which recognises the potential of it flourishing as a popular new community, after receiving full marks in a new accreditation system.
Built for Life is the new industry standard, endorsed by the Government for well-designed homes and neighbourhoods, based on a 12 point system, meaning developments must satisfy all 12 categories to achieve the award.
Built for Life is the sign of a good place to live with new well designed homes and neighbourhoods. Built for Life approval is designed to give the homebuyer confidence that important design elements have been checked during the planning process. These include details such as adequate car parking, safe street design and access to amenities. Developments that are Built for Life today have the greatest chance of being the places estate agents will be proud to show buyers around in 5 to 10 years’ time.
Ian Sadler, Managing Director of David Wilson Homes North Thames, said: “We are delighted to receive this Built for Life Outstanding Award and we are very proud of the superior quality homes we are building at Oakfield Village.
“Each and every home at the development has been built to a very high standard with the careful attention to detail, finish and quality you can expect from David Wilson Homes.
“We are constructing our homes around the latest in eco and money saving designs, using the most advanced insulation, quality modern workmanship, low energy lighting and top rated appliances.
Oakfield Village is one of three villages making up the Kingsbrook development. David Wilson Homes are working in partnership with the RSPB to give nature a home at the development, which features wildlife friendly green open spaces with children’s play areas, parks and a nature reserve.
The development is ideally located with great commuter links to London, which can be reached in under an hour. The homes are surrounded by 250 acres of wildlife-rich open spaces to explore.
