Pupils from Bierton Primary School have visited Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ Kingsbrook development in Aylesbury to bury present day treasures for future residents.
The students have buried a time capsule on site for residents at the development to open in 30 years’ time.
Children at the school have included a range of different items in the time capsule to show future residents what life was like in 2019.
Glenn Copper, Sales Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Thames, said, “We thought it would be a fantastic idea for the pupils at Bierton Primary School to bury a time capsule for future Kingsbrook residents.
“It will be fascinating for those that open the time capsule in 30 years’ time to see how both modern day items and the development itself has progressed over the years.
Will Gadsby, Deputy Head Teacher at Bierton Primary School, said, “The children really enjoyed the experience, from the discussions about which items to include through to the filling of the hole. It was a lovely thing to be part of in our local community.”
The development on Burcott Lane includes 250 acres of scenic park land on its doorstep, and includes two and three bedroom homes, as well as a new release of vibrant two bedroom apartments in the recently opened Canal Quarter village.
Aylesbury town centre offers many shops, restaurants and popular pubs and is ideally located less than three miles away from the development, keeping the whole family entertained during days out.
The Kingsbrook development is not only offering brand new homes, but also a budding community with three schools, a nature reserve and a community centre all to exist on site.
There are currently two and three bedroom homes available at the development in Aylesbury, with prices starting from £325,000.
