Local homebuilder Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Thames has welcomed new residents of Kingsbrook to the development with a Welcome BBQ.
Moving to a new area can be challenging and stressful, but one of the most difficult things to do can be to introduce yourself to the neighbours. Barratt and David Wilson Homes recently took the stress away by hosting a dedicated community event to welcome the new homebuyers to Kingsbrook, its development in Aylesbury.
The new residents were treated to a BBQ buffet, live music, and face painting on a sunny summer afternoon on the Broughton Linear Park at Kingsbrook.
Kingsbrook is an exciting new development in partnership with the RSPB. Wildlife will have a home alongside new residents at Kingsbrook, with features such as swift bricks, hedgehog highways, bat boxes, and wildlife friendly planting.
Residents are encouraged to get involved in the nature-friendly ethos at the development and the RSPB was on hand at the event to talk about the wildlife friendly features and give advice on how residents could give nature a home themselves in their new properties and gardens.
Adrian Thomas, from the RSPB, said “It was so encouraging to meet new residents of Kingsbrook who love the idea that their homes will be surrounded by green space and nature. For some, it has been their top reason for wanting to move to Kingsbrook.
“With their enthusiasm, Kingsbrook can really set high standards, improving the fortunes of wildlife and creating a great place to live for the new community.”
