    Flagship Aylesbury Development Embarks On Its Next Era

    Leading developer Barratt and David Wilson Homes is entering the next phase of its flagship Aylesbury development, Kingsbrook, as the first village marks its completion and the second village welcomes new residents on its third anniversary.

    Oakfield Village, the first of three villages at Kingsbrook, is now complete and has provided 492 properties to Aylesbury as well as 55 acres of public open space. With the first phase now finished, work on the second village, Canal Quarter, is now underway which will consist of approximately 1000 homes.

    As a whole the Kingsbrook development is set to deliver 2,450 properties and contribute over £81 million to provide funds for new roads, public transport, primary and secondary education and more through the planning agreements.

    Alongside new homes, Oakfield Village has brought acres of wildlife rich open space to Aylesbury, with 55 acres now complete and open for both people and nature to explore. Signalisation of the Broughton Lane Canal Bridge has been completed as has Bellingham Way, a new main road named after Aylesbury’s late Lynda Bellingham have also been installed at Kingsbrook.

    Kingsbrook is one of the first developments in the UK to be developed in partnership with the RSPB, with wildlife friendly features installed throughout.

    Oakfield Village alone features 180 swift bricks, as well as a host of house martin cups, bat and sparrow nesting bricks, as well as wildflower planting and wildlife corridors throughout the village with more features set to be installed in Canal Quarter as it progresses.

    Homes at Canal Quarter are now on sale off-plan. The first residents of the Village moved in during June.
